CCNP Security 300-206 (SENSS) – My Lab Infrastructure

So like anything else, is just very hard for me to begin something without first coming up with a plan, so I decided to treat this as a project, with planning and designing included into it.

The main constraint you may ask if any? Time, so time is valuable and the day of my first exam approaches very quickly, I have been doing lots of studying so far and also labs here and there, also I’m very familiar with the topics on SENSS, so hopefully, I can knock it down with no problems. But this time is different, I want to share all the ride with the people that read this blog.

The Logical Topology

If you have read this blog before, you will know that I have some gear already set up in my house, which is what I use for my Collaboration stuff (Yes Collaboration is everywhere in this house).

Now, here is the Logical Topology or High-Level Diagram
Few things to note, ST1 is the one that handles the internet connectivity for all the other sites, which may change when we start playing with the SIMOS blueprint and we begin playing with VPNs. I may add to this topology some firewalls connected to the Internet just to play with the Zone-Based Firewalls section.

The Virtual Topology

Of course, everything is and will be virtualized. I could use VIRL, I could use GNS3, but I want to see how this plays out on my server and my switch. I just purchased 2 2911’s to play more in depth with different configs, but that is a different story, I plan to use them for a future personal project I have in mind

The IP Addressing

Here is a quick snapshot of the IP addressing that I will be using, of course, this will require some tweaking at some point, but is a beginning

What to expect next?

I plan to begin writing at least 1 Workbook with tasks that pertain to 300-206 – SENNS and will be sharing it at some point if is good. Videos, maybe and I think is very possible, but I will have to crank them as I go with my preparation. Keep looking up for more posts on this exam and the followings CCNP Security exams, we are just beginning with the task at hand!

Questions, Suggestions?

Please feel free to ask anything if needed, or even better, if you have any suggestion you want to make please feel free to share with me.
