Cisco Collaboration Edge – Mobile Remote Access (Jabber with no VPN)

Hi there, I have been looking at the new collaboration edge deployments, in order to support Jabber from remote networks without the need of using a VPN (What a relief!!! – I was actually getting slammed from customers because of the lack of options from Cisco). Doing some research I was able to find the following documents:

Collaboration Edge with Cisco VCS Expressway:

Cisco TelePresence VCS Cluster Creation and Maintenance:
www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/X8-1/Cisco-VCS-Cluster-Creation-and-Maintenance-Deployment-Guide-X8-1-1.pdf

Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server Basic Configuration (Control with Expressway)
www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/X8-1/Cisco-VCS-Basic-Configuration-Control-with-Expressway-Deployment-Guide-X8-1.pdf

Unified Communications Mobile and Remote Access via Cisco VCS
www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/X8-1/Mobile-Remote-Access-via-VCS-Deployment-Guide-X8-1-1.pdf

I’m currently using the above mentioned documentation in order to get my VCS Expressway running and also to be able to configure MRA (Mobile and Remote Access).

Looks interesting so I’m preparing myself in order to help people with this new feature, which is really cool.

The deployment model I’m using is from the following picture:
